Wing & foil rental · El Gouna, Egypt · since 2004

Wing & foil rental in El Gouna.

Fly straight off the plane. 50+ Flysurfer wings and the full Levitaz foil range — with a dedicated deeper foil zone used when tide and conditions suit. No gear to haul.

Typical conditions: 15–25 kt N–NW typical · gusting to 28 kt · water level varies with tide
  • 50+ Flysurfer wings
  • Levitaz test point since 2015
  • 4.8 / 549
  • Dedicated deeper foil zone when conditions suit

One rental · four decisions

The rack is not the story. Your session is.

Start with ability, build the set around the rider and the conditions, let the water test it, then return with a clear next step. The equipment follows the session — not the other way around.

01 Before the rack

First, prove you can come back.

Wingfoil rental starts with one honest check: you can foil upwind, return to where you launched and self-rescue. If you are still building those skills, start with a wing course before taking a set out alone.

  • Foil upwind
  • Return to your launch point
  • Self-rescue without an instructor

02 Rider × wind × water

Choose a system, not just a wing.

50+ Flysurfer wings pair with Levitaz front foils from 540–2,200 cm², masts from 60–94 cm and boards from 44–140 L. We match the combination to the wind, your weight and level, and the part of the lagoon where you will ride.

  • Wing for the day's wind
  • Board volume for the rider
  • Foil and mast for speed, lift and depth

03 On the water

Let the first run answer the setup.

Ride the dedicated wing and foil zone, or use the rental as a real-water demo of selected Flysurfer and Levitaz equipment before buying. The official test point has operated for Flysurfer since 2009 and Levitaz since 2015.

Want the set rigged, swapped and packed for you each day? VIP beach service is €10/day or €55 for 7 days.

04 After the run

Come back. Then choose the next session.

Returning to your launch is part of riding independently. Choose optional damage insurance before you go out; it covers one incident per week up to €200 per rider, but not loss or damage through negligence. Without cover, the damage price list applies.

Rent a 0–2 hour session, a day or a prepaid window. Rental includes beach access; the pricing table keeps every option and condition visible.

Rent here vs. fly your own

Flying your own foil and quiver costs roughly €80 each way in airline gear bags — before you even land — plus the risk of it arriving broken or not at all. Rent here and you skip the hassle: a broad, serviced range and equipment selected for the measured conditions when availability and safe rideability align. Keeping your own kit too? Store it with us and ask about rental on the light days.

    Can you rent?

Rental is for independent riders. Here's the honest line.

Wing & foil rental is for riders who can already foil upwind and self-rescue. If that's you, the team can release a suitable available set after the local check. If you're still learning, a course builds the missing skills — but course completion alone does not guarantee independent status or rental.

    You can rent

    I foil independently

You can ride upwind, come back to where you started, and self-rescue. The team recommends suitable available equipment for the measured conditions and depth.

    I'm still learning

New to wingfoiling? A wing course builds control step by step. The team releases a rental set only if the local check confirms independent upwind foiling and self-rescue, and current conditions and equipment availability allow it.

    Built for foiling

A dedicated deeper wing & foil zone.

Our wing & foil zone is kept separate from the teaching area and gives foilers suitable depth when tide and conditions allow. Add prevailing cross-onshore N–NW wind and a sandy bottom. Rescue support is available during operating hours, but response times are not guaranteed, so every rider still follows the safety briefing and current zone guidance.

    • Wing & foil rental requires riders to be independent — able to foil upwind and self-rescue; beginners take a wing course first.
    • Wing & foil rental prices in El Gouna: the complete set (wing, board and foil) is €120/day, or €350 (3 of 7 days), €500 (7 of 10) and €650 (10 of 14) prepaid. Wing-only or board-only start at €90/day (€250 / €390 / €550 prepaid). Kite + wing combo packages — switch sports inside one prepaid window — cost €300 / €430 / €605, or €400 / €550 / €715 with the complete foil set. Rental includes beach access, so no separate Kitepass is added; the €10/day Kitepass is only for independent riders using their own gear. Optional damage insurance is €15/day for 1–2 days or €10/day for 3+ days and covers one incident per week up to €200.

Wing & foil rental — your questions

Can I rent wing & foil gear without taking a course?

Yes — rental is open to riders who demonstrate that they can foil upwind, return to their launch and self-rescue. If you are still learning, start with a wing course to build those skills. Completing a course or a fixed number of hours does not guarantee rental; the team checks your current ability, the water and wind, local rules and equipment availability before releasing a set.

What wing and foil brands do you have?

We rent 50+ Flysurfer wings and the full Levitaz hydrofoil range (540–2,200 cm² front wings, 60–94 cm masts), on wingboards from 44 to 140 L (Boom, Air Boom, Roamer and more). Flysurfer and Levitaz are both German-designed; Levitaz is a German hydrofoil brand.

Can I demo wing or foil gear before I buy it?

Yes. We're the official Flysurfer (since 2009) and Levitaz (since 2015) test point in El Gouna — you can demo the current wings and foils on real water, dial in your size, then buy the one you actually love, with 15% off new gear after a course or a test session. Co-owner Lukáš is a team rider for both brands.

How much does wing & foil rental cost in El Gouna?

The complete set (wing + board + foil) is €120/day, or prepaid €350 for 3 of 7 days, €500 for 7 of 10, and €650 for 10 of 14 (ride any X days within the Y-day window). Just the wing or just the board start at €90/day — €250 / €390 / €550 prepaid. Mixing sports? Kite + wing combo packages are €300 / €430 / €605 for the same windows (€400 / €550 / €715 with the complete foil set). Rental includes beach access — there's no separate kitepass to add (that's for own-gear riders). Optional insurance is €10–15/day. See the full table above and tap any price to book it.

Do I need insurance to rent?

It's optional but recommended: €15/day for 1–2 days, €10/day for 3+ days. It covers one incident per week up to €200 per rider; it does not cover loss or damage from negligence, so buy it before you go out. Without it you pay actual repair or replacement per our damage price list — see the insurance card above for the full list.

    What's included in the kitepass?

The €10/day Kitepass is only for independent riders using their own gear: it covers beach access, sun beds, showers, launch and landing help, rescue support during operating hours, the compressor and a gear rinse. A specific intervention or response time is not guaranteed. If you rent from us, beach access is already included and no separate Kitepass is added.

Is the El Gouna lagoon good for foiling?

There is a dedicated deeper wing & foil zone, a sandy bottom and prevailing cross-onshore N–NW wind. Depth changes with the tide and conditions, so we match the mast and session timing to the suitable water area rather than promising the same depth on every tide.

Can I store my own gear and only rent when the wind is light?

Yes — that's a popular setup. Keep your own quiver in our storage (daily up to 12 months), then rent a light-wind wing or a bigger foil from us on the days your kit doesn't fit. It's why so many returning riders make Kitepower their home base.

What should I wear on the water?

In summer it's boardshorts or a bikini. In winter the air sits around 22 °C and the water around 20–21 °C, so you'll want a full, long wetsuit (we rent those too) — not a shorty.
