What if there's no one my weight for a semi-private lesson?
Semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite. If we can't pair you with a same-weight partner, you have two options: ride private 1:1 at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent (shorter) water time. We tell you up front, so it's never a surprise — and you never pay more than you booked.
Is there a restaurant at the Kitepower beach in El Gouna?
Yes — SALT by Kitepower is a full beach club and restaurant right on the lagoon, not a snack kiosk. The kitchen serves fresh Mediterranean and international food — pizza, burgers, poke-style bowls, Red Sea fish — plus two bars and a smoothie bar, open from breakfast to the last guest. The full menu with prices is online at kitepowerelgouna.com/salt-beach-club/menu/.
What can my partner do if they don't kitesurf?
This is exactly what SALT is built for. Sun beds and shade right on the water, a designed menu and real cocktails, a sea-view coworking room for remote work, a games room, and the whole of El Gouna a tuk-tuk away. The non-kiter gets a proper beach day while you ride.
Is the El Gouna beach club good for families with kids?
Families have an indoor play room for toddlers (about 1–4), a wooden playground with bridges and trampolines for older kids (about 4–10), an air-conditioned craft room (Activities with Mano), volleyball and football. These areas are not supervised childcare; an accompanying adult remains responsible. The first ~800 m of the lagoon is knee-to-waist deep over sand.
Is there a playground or supervised childcare at the beach?
There is a toddler play room (about 1–4), a wooden outdoor playground (about 4–10) and a kids' craft area. They are not supervised childcare, and an accompanying adult remains responsible at all times.
Can kids learn to kitesurf or wing at SALT?
Yes. Kids can start from around 5–6 years (about 20 kg) on a program built for them. Board-control drills use the first roughly 800 m teaching area when the actual water level and the child's height allow standing. Kids' lessons are the same price as adults', with a different program (no bodydrag drills).
Can I work remotely from the beach — is there coworking and Wi-Fi?
Yes — SALT has a glass-walled, air-conditioned coworking room overlooking the lagoon. The thermal wind in El Gouna typically builds in the late morning, so the smart play is to clear your inbox over breakfast and be on the water when it fills in. Ask us about current Wi-Fi and desk availability when you book.
Can I get a massage at the beach?
Yes — there are two treatment rooms right on the base, a few steps from SALT. The menu runs from deep sport and Thai massage to relaxing oil, aromatherapy, a 4-hands massage and reflexology, plus manicure and pedicure — ideal for recovering between sessions. See the massage page for the full menu, or ask at reception.
Is there a shop on the beach?
Yes — Kitepower runs a proper on-site shop a few steps from the lounge: Flysurfer kites and wings, Levitaz foils, wetsuits, harnesses, sunglasses, sunscreen and Kitepower merch. Browse it on the shop page, or find kites, boards and wings on flysurfer.cz.
What are SALT's opening hours?
SALT opens for breakfast in the morning and serves through to the last guest — so you're covered from your first coffee to a sunset cocktail. Hours shift a little with the season; message us on WhatsApp for the current day.
Who runs SALT?
SALT is created and run by Kitepower co-owner Andrea — the dishes, the presentation, the plates and glassware, the smoothie bar and the design are all hers. It's an owner-operated restaurant, not hotel catering. The owners are on the beach every day.
