How booking works

From dates to the water, in three steps

Booking runs through KiteHub — our secure booking system, embedded right on our booking page. It's a short wizard: your dates, the services you want, then your details and payment. You see your running total the whole way.

1

Dates & guests

Pick your arrival and departure and how many of you are coming — the booking prices everything by the length of your stay.

2

Choose your services

Add lessons, rental, storage, an own-gear Kitepass or a transfer — all in one booking, with a live summary of your running total. Courses and rentals already include beach access. (Tap any “Book” button above to jump straight in with that service pre-selected.)

3

Your details & pay

Add each guest's details — weight and level help us plan the lessons — then pay the course, or a deposit. Booked hours never expire: that's our Wind Guarantee.

Wind Guarantee

Booked hours never expire. If the wind is light on a day of your trip, your paid hours simply roll to a windier day — you only ever use the hours you actually ride. This policy is built into our booking. Want to see the odds first? Check the live wind & 16-day forecast →

  • IKO / IWO record of demonstrated skills included
  • Max 2 students per instructor
  • Wind Guarantee — hours never expire
  • All prices in € · no spot-usage surcharge

Worth it because the wind shows up: about 77% of days a year are rideable on our lagoon — real data from our own weather station, with August peaking around 85%.

Plan the budget · our local booking

Build & price your trip

Add anything you're considering — lessons, foiling, rental, storage, a Kitepass, a transfer — in any combination, and see exactly what you'll pay. How semi-private pairing works: semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite. If we can’t pair you with a same-weight partner, you have two options — ride private 1:1 at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent (shorter) water time. You’re told up front, so it’s never a surprise and you never pay more than you booked.

German-speaking instructors have limited capacity in peak season — book early to lock in your dates.

Advanced rider? There's no separate "advanced" course — progression (freeride, freestyle, wave, hydrofoil) runs through Open Hours. The 8-hour course is a structured plan, not a promised independence result; your demonstrated skills, wind and actual conditions determine the level reached. See the beginner course for the full plan.

    Wingfoil — IWO skills recorded

Learn in our dedicated deeper foil zone, on Flysurfer wings and Levitaz foils. The IWO record reflects only skills actually demonstrated; bring your own gear and progression can be more familiar. Columns show 2 students / private.

    Foiling & no-wind days

Foil behind the boat, pump, or parawing

Two of these need no wind at all: we tow you onto a hydrofoil behind our boat, or start you pumping and dockstarting on flat water. Parawing — the newest wind-foil sport — runs at our wingfoil rates. Boat & gear included; up to 2 can share the boat.

    Rental & test point

    More sizes. Better matching.

Can you demonstrate controlled upwind riding and self-rescue? Our independent-rider rental fleet spans 3 to 21 m², so the team can recommend equipment for your weight and the measured conditions. Models and sizes remain subject to availability, and riding still depends on safe wind and water conditions. We're also a Flysurfer & Levitaz test point: ask what is available to try on the water before you buy.

Rental requires a local check of controlled upwind riding and self-rescue; a certification card alone does not guarantee access. Optional insurance covers one incident per week up to €200: €15/day for 1–2 days, €10/day for 3+ days. VIP service (beachboys rig & pack your gear): €10/day or €55/week. Kitepass & storage

The Kitepass — and what it covers

One simple Kitepass — €10/day — covers the beach, showers, compressor, launch & landing help, and a rescue support during operating hours, with no guaranteed response time. It is only for independent riders on their own gear. Courses and rentals already include beach access, so no separate Kitepass is added; we show that distinction up front rather than tucking a surcharge into your bill at the end.

    • Beach access, sun loungers & shade
    • Showers, toilets & gear rinse
    • Launch & landing assistance
    • Rescue support during operating hours; response times are not guaranteed
    • Air compressor for pumping

    Why it's worth it

Premium kit, real coaching, honest prices

You're paying for the most-established operation on the lagoon — the oldest kite school in El Gouna, founded 2004 and owner-run by Lukáš & Andrea. A 250+-kite fleet across the stated size range gives the team flexibility to match riders and measured conditions, while availability and safe, rideable conditions still decide whether a session can run. Rescue support is available during operating hours without a guaranteed response time, and available Flysurfer/Levitaz gear can be tested before you buy.

Booking & prices — your questions

What if there's no one my weight for a semi-private lesson?

Semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite. If we can't pair you with a same-weight partner, you have two options: ride private 1:1 at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent (shorter) water time. We tell you up front, so it's never a surprise — and you never pay more than you booked.

How much does a week of kitesurfing lessons in El Gouna cost?

The Kite Week package is €645 all-in: the 8-hour Zero to Hero course plus 2 conditional rental days, IKO skills record and beach access included — no hidden fees. The course alone is €465 semi-private or €695 private; see the packages page for the full breakdown.

How do I book a course in El Gouna?

Pick a tile at the top — or any “Book” button in the price tables — and it opens our booking system (KiteHub) with that product already loaded. Choose your dates, level and how many of you are coming, and confirm; you'll see your exact total before you pay. Not sure which fits? Message us on WhatsApp at +20 128 888 2047 — our assistant helps you pick the right one and an instructor confirms the details, before you pay.

What happens if there's no wind on my booked day?

Nothing is lost. Our Wind Guarantee means your booked, paid-for hours never expire — if a day is light, we simply ride them on a windier day during your stay. You only ever use the hours you actually kite. This is the answer to the biggest worry every Red Sea kiter has.

Which course should I book as a complete beginner?

Book the Zero to Hero — our 8-hour beginner course (from €465). You learn in the first ~800 m knee-to-waist-deep teaching area, with a maximum of 2 students per instructor and two-way BB Talkin helmets so your coach talks you through every move. See the full breakdown on the beginner course page.

Are there any hidden fees at Kitepower El Gouna?

No. Every price on this page is in euros and includes what you see. Courses and rentals already include beach access; the only extra, for independent riders on their own gear, is the Kitepass at €10/day — listed right here, with everything it covers (beach access, showers, launch & landing help, air compressor, and rescue support during operating hours; response times are not guaranteed). What you read is what you book.

Is the IKO certification included in the course price?

Yes — recording the IKO skills and rider level you actually demonstrate is included with every kitesurfing course at no extra cost. Completing or paying for a course does not guarantee a particular level or rental access. A VDWS assessment is also available via our VDWS-qualified instructors for a separate exam fee. Wing courses use an IWO skills record instead of IKO.

Do kids pay the same price as adults?

Yes — kids pay the same course price as adults. Children can start from around 20 kg (≈5–6 years) in a dedicated kids program, with max 2 students per instructor. Message us on WhatsApp to set up a kids booking.

Do I need a Kitepass if I bring my own gear?

If you're riding your own gear — not in a course or renting from us — then yes, a Kitepass (€10/day) covers your beach access and facilities: launch & landing assistance, the air compressor, and rescue support during operating hours. Response times are not guaranteed. Take a course or rent from us and beach access is already included, so there's nothing extra to add.

Is renting cheaper than bringing my own kite?

It depends on your trip. Bringing your own gear means an airline gear bag (often ~€80 each way) plus daily storage from €13/day. Renting from us starts at €65 for a kite-only short session, and our independent-rider rental fleet spans sizes from 3 to 21 m², giving the team more options to match your weight, level and measured conditions. A particular model or size remains subject to availability, and the fleet does not guarantee a session when wind, water or safety conditions are unsuitable. Our Flysurfer & Levitaz test point also lets you ask about available equipment to try on the water before you buy.

Can I get a refund, and do booked hours expire?

Thanks to our Wind Guarantee, booked course hours never expire — if the wind doesn't play ball on your dates, you keep the hours for when it does. Rental packages paid in advance are non-refundable but flexible within your chosen window.

How much is the airport transfer from Hurghada to El Gouna?

Our driver waits at Hurghada International Airport (HRG) with a Kitepower sign. It's €35 by taxi or €40 by minibus with your kite bag — El Gouna is 30–40 minutes away by road. Just send us your flight details.

Do you teach in my language?

Our instructors speak 8 languages — Czech, Slovak, English, German, Polish, Russian, Italian, Arabic. German capacity is limited in peak season, so book early.

Will it actually be windy when I come?

You can check before you book. We run our own weather station on the lagoon plus a 16-day forecast tuned to this exact spot and a live beach cam — about 77% of days a year are rideable. See the live wind and forecast on the spot page, then book with confidence.

    Wind Guarantee · payment policy

No refunds — but you never lose your hours

Kitesurfing depends on the wind, so we built our policy around it. We don’t refund payments — by any method, whether you paid in cash, by card, bank transfer or online — instead, we protect every hour you’ve paid for.

Wrong wind? We move your session

If the wind is too light or too strong to teach safely, we reschedule your lesson to another time the same day, or to the next day.

    Unused hours never expire

Any hour you can’t use stays as credit on your account — with no deadline. Come back next week, next season, or years later and pick up exactly where you left off.

    Or take a voucher instead

Prefer flexibility? We convert unused hours into a voucher of equal value that you can use yourself or give to a friend.

This is why booked hours never expire, and why we schedule lessons around the conditions measured on our lagoon. Questions before you book? Message us on WhatsApp — we’ll talk it through. Read the full terms →
