Team rider for Flysurfer, Levitaz and ION, IKO Head Instructor, Czech champion — and the coach behind a World Champion. This is the rider who runs the school, and still lives for the moment a student clicks.
The story, without skipping the work
01 The first role · explain, observe, adjust
Lukáš began teaching at fifteen — first schoolchildren, later in a high-school classroom. Teaching was already the work; kitesurfing would become the medium.
That order matters. The method did not begin with a podium or a brand contract, but with learning how different people understand the same instruction.
02 The wind changes the medium · teaching stays
He started kiteboarding in 2006 and became an IKO Head Instructor in 2009. His instructor path crossed Greece, Italy, Germany and Croatia before settling into a longer chapter on the Red Sea.
Riding and coaching grew together. He later joined the Flysurfer team in 2011, Levitaz in 2015 and also rides for ION — the same technical connections reflected elsewhere on this profile.
03 A personal school becomes repeatable experience
Lukáš built and ran Kite4Fun from 2011 to 2023, first for Czech riders and then an international community. From 2013 he also ran kite centres on the Red Sea.
Thousands of students later, the recurring patterns — where people hesitate, what keeps them safe and what makes a skill click — became the raw material for Kitepower's teaching system.
04 The coach becomes a standard for a team
In 2023 Lukáš and his wife Andrea took over and rebuilt Kitepower, El Gouna's oldest kite school. As co-owner and head coach, he sets the method and safety standards, coordinates the team and oversees programme quality.
Carefully selected instructors lead the daily sessions. Lukáš coaches personally only by prior arrangement and subject to availability — including VIP sessions and the training of 2025 GKA Freestyle World Champion Finn Flügel.

From personal experience to a team-wide method
Lukáš Vogeltanz does not need to lead every lesson for his experience to shape it.
He selects and develops instructors, observes their teaching, keeps concrete notes and follows up with individual feedback. Weekly reviews turn the team's real on-water experience into better decisions for the next student.

Ride with Lukáš
Lukáš teaches on request — private VIP coaching with the owner himself: video analysis, big-air, hydrofoil, wingfoil or parawing, in flat-water conditions selected for the discipline and the day's wind. Limited days, booked around the wind.
