Kitesurfing refresher course · El Gouna · since 2004
Kite refresher in El Gouna — a focused route back to the water.
You've ridden before and want to rebuild confidence after a break. The refresher starts from the level you show today: private or standard two-student coaching, live feedback in your helmet and standing-depth water across the first part of the teaching lagoon.
- 4 h & 6 h · group or private
- Max 2 students per instructor
- ★ 4.8 / 549

Is the refresher course right for you?
No starting from scratch, no standing in a line of total beginners. This is for riders coming back — and the quickest way to lose the first-day nerves is to know you're in the right place.
- You can body-drag and water-start — but it's been a season (or three)
- You've ridden away from the beach before, just not lately
- Your confidence — or your upwind — needs a tune-up
- You're opening a new winter season and want your form back on day one
If you've never controlled a kite on the water, you'll learn faster — and have a lot more fun — on a course built for first-timers.

We diagnose, then we fix — not a one-size lesson.
We begin by assessing the level you show on the water today. The rest of the lesson then focuses on the specific skills you need to rebuild or refine.
Want to push past upwind into jumps, freestyle or foil once you're riding again? That's Open Hours coaching — just say the word.
Coaching that talks back
A coach in your ear — the moment it matters.
For a returning rider this changes everything. Two-way BB Talkin helmets put your coach in your ear the instant you set the kite — guiding your relaunch and water-start in real time, not waving from the beach. The nerves go fast when someone's right there with you.
- Two-way Bluetooth helmets — real-time coaching on the water
- Standard max 2 students per instructor
- Rescue support during operating hours; response times are not guaranteed
- 250+ kites, 3–21 m² — broad matching options, subject to availability and safe conditions
- Wind Guarantee — booked hours never expire
The spot
A lagoon built for second chances.
In typical conditions, the first roughly 800 m teaching area off our beach is knee-to-waist deep over sand and protected from normal surf and significant current. Many riders can stand and reset when the actual water level suits, while the coach chooses the active area for the day.
- Private gated El Gouna lagoon, 2–3 km × ~1 km
- Prevailing N–NW wind is assessed live; direction never replaces self-rescue or zone guidance
- Separate beginner, independent and wing/foil zones
Clear, all-in prices
Pick your session. Rebuild what matters.
Gear, helmet coaching and beach access are included without a separate Kitepass. Rescue support is available during operating hours; intervention and response times are not guaranteed. Choose 4 hours for a focused tune-up or 6 hours for more coached work on upwind control and transitions; neither duration guarantees a level or rental.

Group = standard max 2 riders of similar level & weight with one instructor; private is 1:1, all the coaching focused on you. Capable, level-matched independent riders can arrange advanced coaching for up to 4 riders on request with multiple complete setups. Not sure which length fits? Tell us your level on WhatsApp →
Gear is included in every price above — kite, board, harness, helmet & wetsuit.
Bringing your own gear? Take −20% off the 4 h refresher.
How semi-private pairing works: semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite. If we can’t pair you with a same-weight partner, you have two options — ride private 1:1 at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent (shorter) water time. You’re told up front, so it’s never a surprise and you never pay more than you booked.
Wind you can plan around
Measured, not promised.
We run our own weather station on the beach. Over 4 years and 2 million+ readings, about 77% of days a year are rideable (12+ kt for at least 2 daytime hours) — August peaks at 85%, and even December still delivers 6 days in 10. Book the window with the best odds of riding all your hours.
% of days with a rideable session (≥ 12 kt for ≥ 2 h of daylight), from our own station. And if a day stays calm, your booked hours never expire. Winter air ≈ 22 °C — pack a full wetsuit, not boardshorts.
