Hydrofoil kitesurfing · El Gouna, Egypt · since 2004
Master the foil in our dedicated deeper zone when tide and conditions provide suitable depth — coached by a Levitaz team rider, max 2 students per instructor.
Flying, not riding
A wing under the board removes chop and drag, but hydrofoiling is a new balance skill — not an upgrade you bolt onto twin-tip riding. This is the route we coach, adapted to you rather than a promised timetable.
Already riding upwind? Check the three foundations we need before the foil enters the water.
Check if you're ready ↓
A dedicated deeper zone — built for foiling
A hydrofoil needs water deep enough that your mast can clear it and flat enough to feel the lift. Our private lagoon gives you a dedicated deeper wing & hydrofoil zone over a sandy bottom. Depth changes with the tide and conditions, so we check the actual level, match the mast and choose the suitable operating area before each session rather than promising identical access every tide.
Ready for the foil?
Hydrofoil coaching is for riders who already go upwind and steer the kite on autopilot. New to kiting? Start with our 8-hour beginner course first — then come fly. Not sure where you stand? Send us a message and we'll be straight with you.
How the coaching works
Foiling is all about balance and trust — so our method is built to dissolve the fear of falling and get you flying with the fewest crashes possible.
On a foil you can't take your eyes off the horizon to look at your instructor — so we talk to you the whole time on two-way BB Talkin Bluetooth helmets. Real-time corrections the exact second your balance breaks.
With a standard maximum of 2 students per instructor you get the attention foiling demands while you build the new balance from scratch. Capable, level-matched independent riders can arrange advanced coaching for up to 4 riders on request with multiple complete setups.
We start you on a forgiving, beginner-friendly Levitaz setup — bigger front wing, shorter mast — then size down as your flight gets cleaner. The gear meets you where you are.
Protected sandy-bottom water used when tide and conditions provide suitable mast clearance. Rescue support is available during operating hours; response times are not guaranteed.
The gear — Levitaz test point
We've been the official distributor and test point for Levitaz — the German foil brand — since 2015, and co-owner Lukáš rides for the team. Train on beginner-friendly big wings, then size down as you progress — all on the water, all included. Nobody else in El Gouna lets you try the whole range before you buy.

Hydrofoil coaching — transparent pricing
Hydrofoil is an IKO Evolution discipline coached through pay-as-you-go open hours — the per-hour rate drops the more you ride. Recording the IKO skills you actually demonstrate and our Wind Guarantee are always included.
| Open hours · per hour | 2 students sharing | Private 1:1 |
|---|---|---|
| 1h | €85 | €115 |
| 2–5h | €80 | €110 |
| 6–8h | €75 | €105 |
| 9h+ | €65 | €95 |
| Book 2 sharing | Book private 1:1 |
The rate is set by your total hours ridden — ride 6 hours over the week and you're in the 6–8 h band. New to the foil and want a structured start? Book the 5-hour beginner foil block (8 h goes deeper). Coming back after a break? Grab a 4-hour refresh, or message us for a tailored plan.
How semi-private pairing works: semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite. If we can’t pair you with a same-weight partner, you have two options — ride private 1:1 at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent (shorter) water time. You’re told up front, so it’s never a surprise and you never pay more than you booked.
Kite foil or wing foil?
Already kite? The transition is quicker — you already control the power source. Flies fast in lighter wind, covers ground, and links onto everything you already know.
Book hydrofoil coaching →Starting fresh and want total independence? A handheld wing is self-contained, easy to carry, and hugely popular. No kite skills needed to begin.
See wing courses →Most riders end up hooked on each for different days — and you can try both on a single trip. Curious how the two compare on the water? Our coaches will steer you to the right one for you.

More days on the water
From our own weather station (2 million+ readings over 4 years), about 77% of days a year are already rideable on a board — peaking around 85% in August. A hydrofoil rides in lighter wind than that, so it stretches your rideable window even further. And if a day still goes flat, the Wind Guarantee means your hours never expire.
% of days with a rideable session (≥ 12 kt for ≥ 2 h of daylight). Even December still delivers 6 out of 10 days. Winter air ≈ 22 °C — pack a full wetsuit, not boardshorts.
