Where you'll learn
A private lagoon built for learning.
The lagoon is 2–3 km long and about 1 km wide; in typical conditions, the first roughly 800 m teaching area off the beach is knee-to-waist deep over sand and protected from normal surf and significant current. Beyond it is a dedicated deeper foil zone, and we select the lesson area for the actual tide, depth and conditions. We run our own weather station, so you can see the real odds before you book.

Honest answers before you book
How many hours does it take to learn kitesurfing?
There is no fixed number of hours that guarantees independent riding. Our Zero to Hero course is a structured 8-hour plan, typically spread across 3–5 days, but the level reached depends on the skills you demonstrate, the wind and actual conditions. We tell you honestly where you stand after every session.
Is El Gouna good for beginners?
Yes. In typical conditions, the first ~800 m off our beach forms a knee-to-waist-deep teaching area over sand. The actual depth changes with tide, location and the learner, so we check the water level and select the suitable zone rather than promise that everyone can stand everywhere. The protected flat-water area lets the lesson focus on controlled repetition.
How does the tide affect lessons?
Water depth changes with the tide and daily conditions. The first ~800 m from our beach is the knee-to-waist-deep teaching area; beyond it, a dedicated deeper foil zone is used when suitable. We plan each kite, wing or foil session for the actual water level.
How many students are there per instructor?
Standard lessons have a maximum of 2 students per instructor and 2 students per kite set. Semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite; private is 1:1. For capable, level-matched independent riders, advanced coaching can be arranged for up to 4 riders on request with multiple complete setups. If we can't pair you with a same-weight partner you can ride private at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent water time — so you never pay more than you booked.
Do I get a certification?
Recording the IKO skills and rider level you actually demonstrate is included at no extra cost. Paying for or completing the course does not guarantee independent-rider status or rental access; another centre still applies its own skills check, local rules, conditions and availability. A VDWS assessment is also available via our VDWS-qualified instructors.
What's the best time of year to learn in El Gouna?
Wind blows year-round. From our own weather station, about 77% of days a year are rideable, peaking around 85% in August; even December still delivers about 6 days in 10. There's no bad season to learn here.
What should I wear — do I need a wetsuit?
In summer, boardshorts or a bikini. In winter the air sits around 22 °C, so you'll want a full, long wetsuit on the water (we provide it) — not boardshorts or a shorty.
Can children learn, and from what age?
Yes — from around 5–6 years (≈20 kg), on a program built for them. Board-control drills use the first roughly 800 m teaching area with kid-sized gear when the actual water level and the child's height allow standing. Kids pay the same rate as adults.
Do I need my own gear?
No — all gear is included in every course: kite, board, harness, helmet and wetsuit. Once you can ride independently, the team can recommend available rental equipment from our 250+ kites for your weight, level and measured conditions, or you can store your own gear with us between trips. Rental and riding remain subject to availability and safe conditions.
Do you teach in my language?
Our instructors speak 8 languages — Czech, Slovak, English, German, Polish, Russian, Italian, Arabic. German capacity is limited in peak season, so book early.

Kitesurfing depends on the wind, so we built our policy around it. We don’t refund payments — by any method, whether you paid in cash, by card, bank transfer or online — instead, we protect every hour you’ve paid for.
Wrong wind? We move your session
If the wind is too light or too strong to teach safely, we reschedule your lesson to another time the same day, or to the next day.
Unused hours never expire
Any hour you can’t use stays as credit on your account — with no deadline. Come back next week, next season, or years later and pick up exactly where you left off.
