We're built around the opposite problem — a private flat-water lagoon with one of the most reliable wind records in the sport, and the gear, boats and team to teach on it all day. This is the busiest, best-resourced beach on the lagoon — founded 2004, run by co-owners Lukáš & Andrea since 2023.

Where you fit
We hire for the El Gouna winter season — on and off the water. Tell us what you do, what you're certified in, and when you can start. Exact requirements, contract length and what we provide are confirmed with you when you apply.
On the water Kitesurf Instructor (IKO) Coach beginners from their first body-drag towards controlled upwind riding in the first roughly 800 m teaching area, which is often standable when the actual depth and rider height allow — never more than 2 students at a time, with two-way BB Talkin helmet communication. Teach the IKO way; the level each student actually demonstrates is recorded at no extra charge.

On the water Wingfoil Instructor (IWO) Teach wing and foil in a dedicated deeper zone selected for suitable tide and conditions. Growing demand: wingfoiling is the fastest-rising discipline on the spot.

On the water Beach & Equipment Crew Rig, launch, land and keep a fleet of 250+ kites, 50+ wings and 60+ boards running all day. You're the engine room of the busiest beach on the lagoon.

On the water Rescue Boat Driver Support riders and respond to incidents during operating hours. With three rescue boats serving a 2–3 km-long lagoon, calm judgement and safe boat handling matter.

A private, gated lagoon with defined teaching and foil zones.
The lagoon is 2–3 km long. In typical conditions, its first ~800 m forms a knee-to-waist-deep sandy teaching area protected from normal surf and significant current; the active area follows the actual tide and water level. Separate zones cover teaching, independent riding and wing/foil, while the live station and beach briefing help the team choose the session plan.

A day counts as rideable when the wind holds 12+ kt for at least 2 daytime hours — a real session. The season runs strong year-round; the windiest month (August) peaks near 85%, and even the quietest month (December) still rides about 6 days in 10.
Life in El Gouna
A whole season in the sun.
While Europe freezes, El Gouna sits around 22°C in winter and 32–34°C in summer. It is a privately managed resort town with controlled entrances; normal travel precautions and current official advice still apply. Our team eats, rides and hangs at SALT, our own beachfront restaurant and beach club. (Winter water is cooler than it looks: you'll want a full, long wetsuit, not boardshorts.)

Do you hire kitesurf instructors for the season?
Yes. Kitepower El Gouna hires kite and wing instructors, beach and boat crew, reception and SALT hospitality staff for the El Gouna winter season — the busiest stretch on the lagoon. We run up to 25 instructors in peak. Tell us what you do, what you're certified in and when you can start.
What certification do I need to teach at Kitepower?
To teach kitesurfing you need a valid IKO Instructor certification — we're an IKO Pro Center and record only the IKO skills and rider level each student actually demonstrates, at no extra charge. To teach wing and foil you need an IWO certification. Instructors who hold both IKO and IWO are especially welcome.
Why is El Gouna a good place to work as an instructor?
The worst instructor job is one with no wind — no wind means no lessons, which means no pay. El Gouna is one of the most reliable wind spots there is: about 77% of days a year are rideable on our own lagoon, measured by our own weather station over 4 years and 2 million+ readings. August peaks near 85%. More wind means more lessons, more lessons mean a real season.
What languages do you need on the beach?
Our team teaches in 8 languages — Czech, Slovak, English, German, Polish, Russian, Italian, Arabic. German is our largest guest market, so German-speaking instructors are in high demand; Arabic helps on the local and SALT side. Any of these is a strong advantage, but solid English is the baseline.
What's the spot like to teach on?
A private, gated, flat-water lagoon 2–3 km long and about 1 km wide. The first ~800 m off the beach is knee-to-waist deep over sand, followed by separate independent-riding and dedicated deeper wing/foil zones. Depth changes with tide and conditions.
