Semi-private means 2 students of similar weight share one kite. If we can't pair you with a same-weight partner, you have two options: ride private 1:1 at the private rate, or keep the semi-private price and ride 1:1 for the equivalent (shorter) water time. We tell you up front, so it's never a surprise — and you never pay more than you booked.
What happens if there's no wind during my kitesurfing course in El Gouna?

What is there to do in El Gouna besides kitesurfing?
Plenty, all within a few minutes. There are two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Sliders cable park and aquapark, Red Sea diving and snorkelling, boat and catamaran days, go-karting (with night racing until about 22:00), horse riding, the El Gouna Tennis Club (six clay and two hard courts) plus padel and squash, the Air Zone indoor kids' playground, spas, and the marina and downtown for food and shopping. For bigger days, Luxor and Cairo are reachable as day trips.
Can my partner or family enjoy El Gouna without kiting?
Absolutely — that's the whole point of this page. Non-kiters have golf, diving, the cable park, boat days, the spa, the marina and our own SALT beach club with a sea-view coworking room, a kids' playground, volleyball, pool and ping-pong. The Kitepower playground is not supervised childcare, so an accompanying adult remains responsible. For small kids there's also Air Zone, an indoor trampoline-and-soft-play park in town. The wind blows for the kiter; the day works for everyone.
Can I do a day trip to Luxor or Cairo from El Gouna?
Yes. Luxor's Valley of the Kings and the Giza pyramids near Cairo are both doable as full-day trips from El Gouna, by road or short flight. If the forecast shows a calm stretch, that's the time to go — our team can point you to a trusted operator.
How do I get around El Gouna?
El Gouna is compact, and tuk-tuks, local taxis and booking apps are common options between its main districts. Availability, fares and journey times vary, so confirm them for the actual route before travelling. Hurghada International Airport (HRG) is usually about 30–40 minutes away by car, and Taxi Kitepower can arrange a transfer in advance.
