Train foil balance behind our boat at a slow, steady speed on a suitable part of the flat El Gouna lagoon. The boat creates the pull, so you can focus on the board and foil. No wind, kite or wing needed. For first-time and experienced foilers.
The tow, frame by frame
Boat foiling removes the second problem. A slow, steady tow replaces the wind, so your attention can stay on balance, lift and control. It needs no wind; what you achieve depends on your level and the conditions.
Under our Wind Guarantee, booked wind-lesson hours do not expire on a flat day; we move them to suitable wind. Boat foiling is a separate no-wind session you can still book.
01 The tow begins
The instructor brings the boat up slowly and holds a steady, controllable pull. There is no wind window, kite or wing to manage — only the board under your feet and the line in your hands.
The boat creates the pull, so this chapter does not need wind; the session still depends on suitable depth, traffic, water and boat conditions.
02 Board first
Ride the surface, soften your knees and make the smallest weight shifts. The predictable tow isolates foil balance, so the instructor can read each run and adjust the next one.
A forgiving Levitaz setup is selected for your level and the session conditions.
03 Less is more
As your balance settles, a measured shift can let the foil rise. The aim is not to force height: it is to feel lift, touch down calmly and understand what the foil is telling you.
You take turns, watch the other runs and build the next attempt from the instructor’s feedback.
04 Repeat the feeling
The later runs connect balance, height and soft touchdowns. Beginners work towards repeatable control; experienced foilers can use the constant pull for precise pumping, turns and stance work.
The board-and-foil feel transfers to kite foiling, wing foiling and parawing — the result still depends on your level and the day.
How a session works
You get a boat with a dedicated instructor at the helm. You ride a matched Levitaz foil on a tow line while the instructor controls the speed precisely. Foiling still carries real risk, so the coach selects the speed, setup and operating area for the rider and the actual conditions.

The boat can carry up to 4 guests by prior arrangement, but no more than 2 students are coached in one rotation on one complete setup. They take turns — rest, watch, learn from each other, go again. Additional guests join only as companions. The session runs in a protected part of the El Gouna lagoon selected for suitable depth, traffic and boat conditions. Lagoon depth changes with the tide, so the coach chooses the operating area and timing for suitable water depth. Wing, kite and parawing foiling later use the dedicated deeper foil zone when the actual level allows.

The gear — Levitaz test point
We've been the official Levitaz distributor and test point since 2015, and Lukáš, a Levitaz team rider and co-owner, is on the beach. You ride a beginner-friendly Levitaz setup — a bigger front wing on the right mast — for stable early flight, soft crashes and a foil sized to you.
Boat foiling — simple, all-in pricing
Boat foiling is €130 per hour, per instructor — and that includes the boat and one complete equipment setup. A maximum of 2 students are coached per rotation and take turns. The boat may carry up to 4 guests by prior arrangement; anyone beyond the coached pair is a companion. No wind is required, but suitable depth, traffic, water and boat conditions still are.

The oldest kite & wing school in El Gouna
Oldest in El Gouna, since 2004 — co-owned and run by Lukáš and Andrea, who you'll meet on the beach. Lukáš rides for the Levitaz team, so the same eye that fine-tunes a pro's foil sets up your very first tow.
Once you're flying, take it further — pumpfoiling, kite hydrofoil, wingfoiling or parawing. It all transfers.
Boat (tow) foiling means hydrofoiling on a foil board towed behind a motorboat at a slow, steady speed. The boat gives you constant, controllable power, so you focus purely on foil balance — no kite, no wing to manage. We run it on the flat El Gouna lagoon on Levitaz foils.
