There are plenty of kite schools in El Gouna. Even more on the Red Sea. And online you’ll find dozens of spots around the world promising fantastic wind, warm water, and fast progress.
So why us? Here are ten specific reasons â no empty slogans, just facts.
1. We’ve Been Operating Since 2004
We’re not new on the scene. Kitepower El Gouna has been running for over twenty years. In that time, we’ve taught thousands of students, experienced every possible condition, and know exactly what works and what doesn’t.
2016 was a turning point â we moved to the northern position in El Gouna, which is the last base on the coastline. That means one thing: unlimited downwind space. No other school behind us, no obstacles. You simply ride as far as you want.
Twenty years in one location also means we know the lagoon like the back of our hand. We know where it’s shallow, where the wind is best at each time of day, and where to send students for the best conditions.
2. Northern Position = Unlimited Downwind Space
I’m mentioning this separately because it’s crucial. Many kite schools in El Gouna sit side by side on the beach, and students share the same space. Not with us.
We’re the northernmost school, so downwind there’s only open water. For beginners, that means safety â if your kite gets away, you won’t endanger anyone else. For advanced riders, it means freedom â you can ride wherever you want without dodging others.
3. 250+ Flysurfer Kites = Always the Right Size
We have over 250 Flysurfer kites. Why so many? Because kite size has to be right â for your weight, for the current wind, for your level. And we don’t want you riding a kite that’s “almost right.” We want you to have exactly the right one.
Flysurfer makes kites we trust. We ride them ourselves, teach on them, and in our rental you can try them as an advanced rider too.
4. Walkie-Talkie Coaching = Faster Progress
This one surprises many people. Our instructor doesn’t just communicate with you on the beach before and after the lesson. You get a walkie-talkie, and the instructor talks to you in real time while you’re on the water.
That means instant feedback. You don’t have to wait until you get back to shore to find out what you’re doing wrong. The instructor tells you “pull the bar more” or “shift your weight back” exactly when you need to hear it. The result? Students progress significantly faster.
5. Free IKO Certification After the Course
After completing a kite course with us, you receive IKO certification for free. It’s not just a piece of paper for the wall. An IKO certificate is an internationally recognized proof of your level that allows you to rent equipment at kite schools worldwide.
Most schools charge extra for certification. With us, it’s included in the course price.
6. Rescue Boat on the Water All Day
Not just during lessons. Not just when someone calls for help. Our rescue boat is on the water from morning to evening, all day, every day.
If you’re learning and lose your kite â the boat comes. If you’re advanced and something goes wrong â the boat comes. If you’re perfectly fine and just need a ride back â the boat comes.
This is something that’s hard to appreciate until you need it. But when you need it, you’re glad it’s there.
7. We Speak 7 Languages
Czech, English, German, Arabic, Italian, Russian, and Polish. That means you get instructions in a language you understand â and that’s extremely important when learning.
Kite terminology is specific. When the instructor says “power zone” or “edge the board,” you need to know exactly what they mean. In a foreign language, you can miss nuances that determine whether you nail a maneuver or not.
8. Restaurant Right on the Beach
After three hours on the water, you don’t want to go anywhere. You want to sit down, grab some food, and watch the lagoon. Our restaurant is right on the beach â no transfers, no searching for a taxi.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks, smoothies. Fresh, simple, and reasonably priced. And yes â Wi-Fi works.
9. Kids’ Playground + Coworking for Digital Nomads
This is for those who don’t come alone. Partner doesn’t want to kite? Kids are bored? Not at our place.
The station has a kids’ playground, so families can spend time together even when one parent is on the water. And for those who need to work, we have a coworking space â so you can answer emails in the morning, kite in the afternoon, and sit in the restaurant in the evening.
It’s not a compromise. It’s a lifestyle.
10. 80â90% of Customers Return
This number speaks for itself. We’re not a school people visit once and then look elsewhere. Eight to nine out of ten customers come back â some families have been returning regularly for years.
Why? Because the combination of conditions, equipment, approach, and atmosphere works. And because when you find a place where you feel good, there’s no reason to keep searching.
Come and See for Yourself
We don’t need to convince you with big words. Just check the reviews from our customers â or go straight to available dates.
Whether you want a kite course, a wing course, or just to rent equipment â book your spot online and leave the rest to us.
See you on the water.
